Privacy

General instruction

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the provisions of the federal government on data privacy, the Data Privacy Act (DSG), everyone has the right to the protection of his or her privacy and the protection against misuse of his or her personal data. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with legal regulations on data privacy and this data privacy statement.
In collaboration with our hosting providers, we strive to protect databases as best we can from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or forgery.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating via e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete data privacy from third-party access is not possible.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of data as described below. In principle, this website can be visited without registration. In doing so, data such as accessed sites or open file name, date and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes, without data directly related to your person. Personal data, in particular the name, address or e-mail address, are collected on a voluntary basis as far as possible. The data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Processing of personal data

Personal data are all information relating to a specific or identifiable person. A data subject is a person for whom personal data are processed. Processing involves all handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, in particular the storage, disclosure, collection, deletion, storage, modification, destruction and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data privacy law. In addition, we process – to the extent and as far as the EU GDPR applies – personal data in accordance with the following legal basis in relation to Article 6, paragraph 1 of the GDPR:

  • Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
  • Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract with the data subject and for the implementation of relevant pre-contractual measures.
  • Processing of personal data to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject in accordance with any applicable EU law or in accordance with any applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is fully or partially applicable.
  • Processing of personal data in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person.
  • Processing of personal data for the purpose of protecting our legitimate interests or those of third parties, provided that the fundamental freedoms and rights and interests of the person concerned do not prevail. Legitimate interests are in particular our business interests to be able to provide our website, information security, enforcement of our legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for the duration that is required for the respective purpose or goals. In the case of long-term storage obligations due to legal obligations and other obligations to which we are subject, we limit processing accordingly.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small text files that make it possible to store specific, user-related information on the user’s device while he is using the website. Cookies make it possible in particular to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the site, to analyse the usage behaviour of the site, but also to make our offer more customer-friendly. Cookies remain stored after the end of a browser session and can be downloaded again when you visit the site. If you do not want this, you must configure your browser to refuse the acceptance of cookies.

A general objection to the use of cookies used for online advertising purposes can be made for a large number of services, especially in the case of tracking, while you may find clarifications regarding these on the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Furthermore, cookies can be stored by disabling them in the browser configuration. Please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the features of this online offer.

SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the requests you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise a coded link by the fact that the browser’s address bar varies from “http: //” to “https: //” and by the login symbol on your browser’s bar.
If SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Data transmission security (without SSL)

Please note that data transmitted over an open network, e.g. internet or an email service without SSL encryption, can be viewed by anyone. You may recognise an unencrypted link by the fact that the browser’s address bar shows “http: //” and no blocking symbols appear in your browser’s bar. Information transmitted over the internet and content received on the internet may, in certain circumstances, be transmitted through third-party networks. We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of communications or documents transmitted through such open networks or third-party networks.

If you disclose personal information through an open network or third-party networks, you should be aware that your data will be lost or that third parties may have access to this information and consequently collect and use the data without your consent. In many cases, individual data packets are transmitted in encrypted form, but the sender and recipient names are not transmitted. Even if the sender and receiver live in the same place, the transmission of data through such networks is often performed without controls even through third countries, i.e. through countries that do not offer the same level of data privacy as your country of residence. We are not responsible for the security of your data when transmitted over the internet and we disclaim any liability for direct or indirect loss. We urge you to use other means of communication if you deem it necessary or reasonable for security reasons.

Despite extensive technical and organisational security measures, data may be lost or intercepted and/or manipulated by unauthorised persons. As far as possible, we take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to prevent this from happening within our system. However, your computer is outside the security zone that we can control. It is your responsibility as a user to learn about the necessary security measures and to take appropriate measures in this regard. As the operator of the website, we are in no way responsible for any damage you may suffer as a result of data loss or manipulation.

If you log in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want to set your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google Ads

This website uses Google’s online marketing tool Ads (“Google Ads”). Google Ads uses cookies to serve ads that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports, or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are shown in which browser and thus can prevent them from being shown multiple times. Additionally, Google Ads may use cookie IDs to track what are known as conversions, which are related with ad requests. This is the case, for example, when a user sees a Google Ads ad and later visits the advertiser’s website with the same browser and buys something there. According to Google, Google Ads cookies contain no personally identifiable information.

Because of the marketing tools used your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Google server. By integrating Google Ads, Google receives the information you have accessed in the relevant section of our website or clicked on an ad from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can allocate the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is a possibility that Google will find out and save your IP address.

You can prevent participation in this tracking process in a number of ways:

  • by adjusting your browser software accordingly, in particular by suppressing third-party cookies, you will not receive any advertisements from third-party providers;
  • by disabling conversion tracking cookies by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com, https://adssettings.google.com, where this setting will be deleted when you delete your personalisation cookies;
  • disabling interest-based ads of the providers that are part of the “About Ads” self-regulation campaign via the link https://www.aboutads.info/choices, where this setting is deleted when you delete your personalisation cookies;
  • by permanently disabling your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browser at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. We would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this offer to their full extent.

The legal basis for the processing of your data is a balancing of interests, according to which the processing of your personal data described above is not opposed by any predominant, contrary interest on your part (Article 6, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph 1, letter f of the GDPR). More information about Google Ads by Google can be found at https://ads.google.com/intl/de_DE/home/, as well as data privacy at Google in general: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
